Believe it or not, even within the therapy subspecialty of “OCD Therapist” are are further subspecialties. While I would argue that any OCD specialist can learn to treat things under the OCD umbrella, there are some OCD-adjacent disorders that I treat a lot less of and know a lot less about. I definitely see fewer folks with tics than I do with other types of OCD such as illness anxiety or pure-obsessional OCD, etc.
